Cloud Strategy

Listening to the pundits, you’d think the whole economy already runs in the Cloud.  This couldn’t be further from the truth.  Companies large and small are still trying to figure out if, when and how to adopt the Cloud for the bulk of their IT services.

There are plenty of misconceptions about Cloud Computing’s true benefits, costs, security, reliability and impact on change management and controls.  There is also the challenge of planning a smooth migration to the Cloud.

Christophe has been there and done that, helping SMBs, non-profits and large enterprises plan and execute their Cloud migration strategies.

Benefits of a well thought-out Cloud strategy include:

  • A clear explanation to Management of the many changes to expect: costs, savings, OpEx versus CapEx, cash flow impact, controls, compliance, procurement, agility, skillsets;
  • A plan for an orderly migration of your legacy systems to the Cloud;
  • Sensible task prioritization to minimize risk and achieve project self-funding sooner;
  • Preparations to ensure your Infrastructure, Security and DevOps are ready to support a Cloud-centric business ahead of migration;
  • Reengineered governance, policies, procedures and controls;
  • Changing the IT mindset: from fighting “shadow IT” to embracing self-provisioning.

Christophe has had experience building and implementing Cloud services since the mid-90’s (before we even called them that) and has developed and successfully migrated businesses to the Cloud ranging from a few millions to several billions, public, private and non-profits, and can share that experience and high-level governance with your company.
